In the year of the 100th anniversary of Latvia, State Police Forensic Service Department will host the twentieth meeting of Forensic Speech and Audio Analysis Working Group (FSAAWG) of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) in Riga on 13–14 September.
The venue of the conference will be hotel Radisson Blu Daugava.
In total 36 participants from 19 countries will take part in the conference.
Speakers at the conference include 18 experts from Poland, Italy, Germany, USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Republic of Kosovo, Russian Federation, the Ukraine, and Latvia. The authentication of audio recordings in accordance with ISO 14496-12, distinction of differences between spontaneous and read speech, tools used by experts for speaker identification, examples of complex cases and successful resolution thereof are among the main topics of discussion.
